		<description><![CDATA[Turning off or disabling chat in gmail is as easy as clicking the link to turn off the chat. But, to permanently disable it, you must add some entries in your hosts file to block the ips leading to the gmail chat. <p style="text-align:left;">First, I got the CD installer for my windows version, for mine is Windows XP PRO sp2.  Insert the CD installer on the drive.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Secondly, i run &#8216;SFC /scannow&#8217;. It will keep asking for the CD installer. Kinda weird, can&#8217;t it just remember that the CD is already inside. Anyway, just click &#8216;retry&#8217; and be patient. It will be worth your while. When everything is done. Restart your computer and the persistent message will be gone.</p>
